Applicant Screening:
A complete packet must be submitted
for application. Any packet submitted with missing sections
will not be considered. Overall grade point average of 2.8 based
on a 4.0 system is required.
Applicants will be ranked using standard criteria
on the basis of:
academic performance, evidence of maturity, organizational
skills, interpersonal skills, self-direction, quality of references,
perceived understanding of the field, and compatibility of
applicant's goals with mission of our program.
Interviews
Top applicants will be interviewed
in person (or if out-of-state by phone) for forty-five minutes.
There will be interviews during February. The interview
will provide the applicant with further information about
the program and allow the applicant to demonstrate their potential
to the Dietetic Internship Selection Committee.
Computer Matching
This program will participate
in the D & D Digital computer matching. All applicants must
participate in computer matching. Applicants should
request instructions and a mark/sense card to prioritize their
Internship preferences, from an ADA-approved Didactic Program
in Dietetics or from D&D Digital Systems. This request should
be made to allow turn around time for the February 15, 2008
postmark deadline. There is no charge for this material. However,
there is a $50.00 charge for computer matching that is due
with the applicant's prioritized ranking. The D&D Digital
Systems is located at 304 Main Street, Ames, IA 50014. (515)
