Open House

The University of Maryland has announced their open house dates.  Open houses will be offered in person and on-line via web conferencing.  Dates are as follows:

In Person

Friday, January 20, 2012 from 1:30 - 2:30 p.m.

On-Line

Friday, January 20, 2012 from 4-5 p.m.

The University of Maryland College Park Department of Nutrition and Food Science sponsors a Dietetic Internship with an emphasis in Information Management and Communication. This 44-week full time program is located in the Baltimore- Washington area. The tuition cost is $6,500 plus personal expenses. The 2012-2013 class will consist of 10 selected interns. The program will participate in the April 2012 computer match.

The University of Maryland College Park Dietetic Internship is currently granted Initial Accreditation by the Accreditation Council for Education in  Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) [formerly ADA: CADE].  Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) [formerly American Dietetic Association (ADA)] , 120 South Riverside Plaza, Suite 2000, Chicago, IL 60060-6995. 1-800-877-1600.
 
Upon successful completion of the Internship program, the intern will be eligible to complete the Registration Examination. Upon successful passage of the registration examination, graduates are eligible to apply for licensure in Maryland and the District of Columbia. Licensure is mandatory for dietetics and clinical dietetics practice.
